Video Calibration Services - Fees and Charges
We usually schedule about four hours for an HDTV calibration, and
sometimes more than that for front projection calibrations, depending
on the system. It may take more or less time than that, as every system
is different.

Additional Services, Consulting, Systems Integration and System Controller Programming:
For anything other than calibration services, with fees as noted above, there is a $99 (one hour) minimum
charge per on-site visit, which includes up to one hour of our
services. Additional time spent beyond the initial hour is charged in
quarter hour increments at the same hourly rate. State sales tax is
collected when applicable, generally only on merchandise.
There
is no additional travel surcharge for travel time to your home, for
most locations in and around Austin, and as far east as Bastrop,
Smithville and La Grange (within city limits). Travel charges, when
applicable, are not discounted; only the Calibration Tune-up and
Additional Calibration services themselves are discounted, as noted
above. Please contact us for a no-obligation estimate of travel charges
if you reside outside of our local area.
Off-Site Services
Off-site
services — such as telephone or e-mail consultations, initial equipment setup and/or programming work (including off-site 'staging' of equipment prior to installation), research work,
acoustical modeling, etc. — are billed at our standard off-site hourly rate of $88 per hour, and are charged in one-tenth of an hour increments (twenty minute minimum charge).
Telephone and e-mail consultations will incur a minimum charge of $29. Such consultations must be paid in advance or by credit card unless you are a client in good standing.
There is no charge for occasional consultations of five minutes or less — if I can help you that quickly, it's free!
Payment for Services and Credit Cards
In
most cases, payment is due at the time services are rendered. Home
Theatre Guru accepts the major credit cards shown here, or payment in
cash or by check.
Note: Projects involving sale of merchandise, or where work will occur in increments, over more than one day, will usually require a 60% down payment of the estimated total amount.
